Bataan Memorial Death March

In 2018, I completed the Bataan Memorial Death March Honorary Route of 14.2 miles in just under 5 hours. This experience was a physical and mental challenge from start to finish. I was fortunate enough to share this adventure with my husband despite his possible desire to hurt me when I picked up the pace on a sandy incline in mile seven. This page is dedicated to my experiences preparing for Bataan, the event itself, and my thoughts afterwards.

We will be competing in the 2019 Bataan Memorial Death March full course in the Civilian Light Division. Registration opens in October 2018 and I challenge any one who reads this to make the trip out to White Sands Missile Range for the 30th running of this event.

Below you will find my blog posts chronicling the journey up to the 2018 Bataan Memorial Death March as well as my thoughts after the event. In the future, I will include the training plan that The Husband and I follow to prepare for the 2019 event.
